September 21, 2009 - Update

Spencer is off to his new home.  While we were out putting up his flyer's a woman looked over our shoulder and said… "Hey, that’s my dog, or was my dog.  I had him as a puppy and then re-homed him.  The new owner lost him when Spence got out of his yard some place in Calaveras County."  (We can understand that!!  He was able to get out of all but one of our kennels here at the ranch).  So, Spencer is back where he started his life, back with the person who had him as a puppy.  Good luck Spencer and maybe you will figure out you have a good thing going and you will stay home this time.

Spencer Arrives at Twin Cedar

Spencer is one handsome fellow. At one year old, he weighs 58 lbs. and scored very high on his evaluation. He was an absolute love bug during his evaluation. He was quick to warm up to people, and was very mellow when handled. He has a very soft and gentle mouth when taking treats.

Although he did not show much interest in playing with toys, Spencer seemed to enjoy being with people and other dogs. We are not sure if he likes cats or not. When we took him by the cat room to be weighed, his tail was waging and he was pulling on the leash. He may have just been very interested in their play, but we don't know for sure.

Spencer was a stray so we don't know much about his background, but he seems to be a great guy and a good representative of his breed. Spencer has already been neutered, so he is ready to go to a loving home. Come and check him out, you may just fall in love.
