ShortyShorty hails from the wonderful folks at the Amador Co Animal Control and adoption Center. Marge` calls him Shorty Short Cakes and she thinks he is a new designer breed for the working rancher. He is a Queensland Cardigan Shepherd. That would be a cross between a Queensland Heeler, Corgi and a German Shepherd.

Little Shorty Short Cakes is off to his new home in Kyburz. This is one lucky boy and we could not have hoped for a better home for him. He now lives in the forest and even has a river running through his property.

YujoCasper (aka Yujo) is a young adult male Dogo Argentino cross. When he first arrived at the Calaveras Shelter they thought he was a Pit Bull and American Bulldog cross. Casper is about 18 - 24 months old and is a terrific dog.

Casper now named Yujo (Friendship in Japanese) is off to his new home in Pine Grove. We will be seeing a lot of this great boy because he was adopted by our trainer/volunteer and her husband.

RileyRiley comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. He is a pure bred German Shepherd and is young adult maybe 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Riley is a very sweet boy who has had a horrible start in his short life. He spent every hour of every day tied up on a chain until he was rescued by animal control.

Riley is off to his new home in Placerville. Riley has a new little buddy to play with, a wonderful new mom and dad to give him the love and attention he needs and has never had.

JobJob comes to us from the Stockton city animal shelter and is in our German Shepherd rescue program. He is an adult male that the vets think is about 1 year old. His name was Pedro when we picked him up and was an owner surrender to the shelter. His owner was an 85 year old woman that just couldn't provide him with the care that he needed.

Job is off to his new home in Yuba County where he will have a nice large yard and home to call his own. His new dad is very active and loves to hike & camp and always have his dog with him. Job will be a very happy boy!

Bonnie AgainBonnie is off to her new and hopefully final home with a wonderful new owner. She will have a stay at home mom who has family including grandchildren that will come to visit often.

Bonnie fell in love with everyone in the family and didn't even look back as they drove out our driveway. Bonnie, we loved having you came back for a visit; you were the perfect girl while you were here. We will miss you!!

MeggieMeggie is about 1 year old and looks like she is a cross between a long haired Chihuahua and a Pomeranian. I have been in search of the perfect small dog for one of my clients and I felt this pup fit the bill!

Meggie is very smart and playful and just loves everyone she meets. Her new owner is retired so little Meggie will always have a nice lap to sit on and better yet.... there will be grandchildren for her to play with as well.

Cisco (now Kaleb)Cisco is in our German Shepherd Rescue program and was pulled from the Stockton City Animal Shelter where he had been picked up as a stray and never claimed. He is a young adult and is roughly 1 to 1/12 years old. He is a very sweet boy who loves to be with people. He is currently living in Cool, Ca with a foster family that has been providing him with training and socialization.

Cisco, now known as Kaleb, will be staying with his foster family in Cool, Ca. until they can find him his forever home. He is such a special boy and they want to be absolutely sure he finds the perfect family. In the mean time, he will continue his training and socialization.

HarleyHarley is a beautiful 1 year old Rottweiler and maybe German Shepherd mix boy, who hails from the Calaveras Humane Society.  He was very sweet and very obnoxious when he first arrived at the ranch. He is still very sweet and not quite so obnoxious now.

Harley is off to his new home in Mokelumne Hill and what a lucky boy he is... His new mom is very familiar with Rotti's and she will know exactly whet this boy will need.

Bobbie_McGeeBobbie McGee is in our German Shepherd rescue program and comes to us from the Stockton city animal shelter. She is a young adult and is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years old and is a cute and sweet as can be! She is a beautiful little girl that has very nice conformation although someone has docked her tail. It is unknown if this was done as a puppy or if it was docked due to an injury.

Well...that didn't take long!! Bobbie is off to her new home in Santa Rosa. We couldn't have hoped for a better home for her. Her new owners have property in Santa Rosa and in Lake County and she will have her new mom as a constant companion.

Dee DeeDee Dee is in our German Shepherd Rescue program. She is a beautiful 4 Year old Female German Shepherd. Her owner is moving to Alabama and he cannot take Dee Dee with him. Margè took her to see Dr Bob at Jackson Creek Vet for a consultation and received some very bad news! Dee Dee has very severe bi-lateral hip dysplasia. She was probably born with genetic hip dysplasia that has gone untreated for all of her life. View Dee Dee's page to see her heart warming story.

Because of Dee Dee's health issues and ongoing medical care, we have decided to keep her right here with us at Twin Cedar Ranch. She has fit into the pack beautifully and has become a great ranch dog.

CooperOur very cute boy with the big ears, Cooper, comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. He is about 1 year old and looks like he could be a cross between either a German Shepherd or Akita and a Border Collie. He will never be able to say.... I did not hear what you just asked me to do!! This boy has some mighty big ears to hear you!.

Our goofy boy Cooper, now named Hawkeye, is off to his new home in Pioneer, Ca. He has a loving new family that includes a 11 month boy and a 2 year old boy and Hawkeye is one happy dog!

BriannaBrianna comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. This little cutie pie was going absolutely crazy at the shelter in the smaller kennels. Even though she was getting out for walks every day, it just was not enough exercise for this very active little dog. Brianna is 19 months old and looks like a Scotty cross.

Brianna is off to her new home in Dublin, Ca. I didn't think we would have her here very long, but didn't expect her to find her new home in less than a week. In the short time that she was with us, she won our hearts and will be missed.

StarStar comes to us from the wonderful folks at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center and what a Shining Star she is!!! Her intake papers have her down as a Shiba Inu/ Akita cross. We see the Shiba Inu but not the Akita and she is far too willing to be that cross. We are thinking she may have some Border Collie in her that would give her that very willing personality and focus.

Well...that didn't take long!! Our shining "Star" is already off to her new home right here in Sutter Creek. What a lucky girl she is too!! She will be coming back for some more obedience training for her and her new parents.

Tessa

This beautiful German Shepherd girl comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. She is 15 months old and TOTAL WILD CHILD does not even begin to describe her behavior when she first arrived. Tessa spent the first year of her life running loose on a large piece of property with three other male dogs.

Well, the last day of 2011 is Tessa's lucky day. She is off to her new home outside of Stockton, living on lots of property that is all dog fenced. She will have a part time buddy Bogey who is a previous Second Chance Dog.

JasperJasper hails from the kind folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. He is a 7 month old pure bred Belgian Malinois and is just as pretty as can be. Malinois can be very hyper dogs but this guy seems to have a very nice easy going temperament.

Jasper's new owners say he is doing great and is a real snug bug! He has gained 11 pounds and is a fetching machine. He is still a puppy with some of his behavior but is trying his best to stop his play biting and jumping on people!

RebaThis is Reba's second time through the Second Chance Program. Her owners stated she is just to much dog for them and that she needs a lot of exercise to keep her happy. She weighs 36 pounds and is a cute as can be.

Our little red headed girl Reba is off to her forever home in Rio Vista. She will have two stay at home parents that will give her all of the love and attention a little dog could ask for. She will also have a large fenced yard, toys, good eats and gets to go on long walks. What more could this girl ask for!

SwifferSwiffer comes to us from the kind folks at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. Swiffer is about 7 months old and looks like she is a cross between a Springer Spaniel and some sort of Hound!. She is just as cute as can be. She is sweet and affectionate and loves to come out and practice her obedience lessons.

Our comical little girl Swiffer is off to her new home in Elk Grove. She was a surprise birthday present for a 7 year old boy. She has a beautiful home on a golf course (poor thing) a very nice fenced yard and two kids to play with.

NuggetNugget comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society and is a volunteer sponsored dog. Nugget is a 2 year old Yellow Lab that is an absolute sweetheart. He is very bright and loves to come out to practice his obedience lessons. He has already been introduced to all of the basics and is doing very well.

Our beautiful Labrador Retriever Nugget is off to his new home Yerington Nevada. He has a new family and a beautiful home with acreage to run and play on.

ZekeZeke comes to us from the great people at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. Zeke is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog cross and we think he may have some Rat Terrier in the mix. His body looks just like a Cattle Dog and his head looks like a Rat Terrier.

Out little Cattle dog Zeke is off to his new home in Pioneer. What a lucky boy he is too! He gets to go to work with his new dad and ride around in his truck. We knew if we were patient enough the right home would come along for this very sweet boy.

GilliganGilligan is a very happy go lucky boy who comes to us from the Amador County Shelter. He is about 2 - 3 years old and looks like he is a Aussi mix. He came to us because he was showing some barrier aggression towards other dogs when they went past his kennel. Gilly has beautiful focus and really want to please his trainers.

Gilligan has been adopted by a wonderful family that will give him everything he will ever need in life. He has a new little sister, a very active little Border Collie that will keep him on his toes!

Allie MaeAllie comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society and looks like she is a German Shepherd mix. She is about 1 1/2 years old. Allie was an owner surrender to the Humane Society when her previous owner moved here from out of state and he could not keep her anymore. She is house broken, good with dogs, cats and of course...people.

Little Miss Allie Mae if off to her new home back in Calaveras County. Her original owner has found a friend who will be fostering Allie for the next few months until he can find a home to rent that will allow Allie to join him.

RioRio is an owner sponsored dog who comes to us from Stockton. He is 1 year old and looks like a German Shepherd mix. Rio is a great dog but his previous owners felt he needed more room to run and play that they could offer him in Stockton.

Well, that didn't take long! Rio is off to his new home just over the hill from the ranch. He has a new older brother and a few cats, chickens, goats, horses and a bunny.

MollyMolly comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. She is about 4 years old and is a real little cutie pie. She is a Australian Cattle Dog with a very pretty red coat. She is very shy when you first meet her but comes out of her shell quickly once she gets to know you. Molly gets along real well with other dogs and is enjoying coming out and practicing her obedience lessons.

Our little Cattle Dog is off to her new home in Ione. Her wish has come true and she will be living on a cattle & horse ranch near Lake Comanche.
