February 6 th, 2010 - Update

We knew it wouldn’t take long for Brickette (Bailey) to find her forever home, we just didn’t expect it to happen this soon. She is off to her new home in Citrus Heights and has a great family to love and care for her.

Brickette Arrives at Twin Cedar

Brickette comes to us from the great people at the Amador County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. She is 2 years old and is a Plot Hound/Labrador Retriever.

She was not doing well at the shelter because she is a little on the shy side and she was just overwhelmed and was not responding well.

As soon as she arrived here at the ranch we put her in with Bonnie who is our best dog for socializing the shy dogs. Brickette took off running around her 100’ X 100’ kennel and didn’t stop for about 20 minutes. Poor Bonnie couldn’t keep up with her! After that, Brickette settled right in, relaxed, and hasn’t shown any shy behavior since.

Brickette is a very sweet and affectionate little girl that would do fine in just about any environment. She gets along with all of our dogs at the ranch and just loves everyone that she meets.

She is coming along with her obedience training and for most behaviors she is very willing and smart. She does have a stubborn side when it comes to down but it won’t be long before she will down when asked to do so.

Brickette has worked in one group class and did well with the distractions of working with three other dogs.
