May 7, 2011 - Update

Our wonderful hyper, busy, funny, loving, hyper, smart, willing, hyper, comical boy Doc is off to his new home in Davis.

He will eventually be living on a ranch which is exactly what this boy needs. In the mean time his new owner is a student at UC Davis studying to become a Vet. So it will be the Dr. and Doc.

He was not here very long but we all fell in love with him. His little paws never stopped moving and we know he had a good time when he was with us. Hopefully he will stop by for a visit if he is in the neighborhood.

Doc Arrives at Twin Cedar

Doc comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. Doc is a 1 year old Border Collie mix that is just full of energy and is a total wild child! In fact he is so active we have changed his name to "Doc Perpetual Motion"!!

Once you get him on a collar and leash he settles down and has beautiful focus on his trainer. In his very first lesson he was introduced to a wait command, heel, auto sit and staying in his sit. In a very short period of time he had mastered all of them.

Doc has a very happy and loving personality and just needs some kind of a job to keep him busy. Per his surrender papers, Doc is housebroken and good with
dogs and cats. He has not been around young children
so it is unknown how he is with them.

In the short time that he has been here at the ranch we have not seen any aggressive behavior, just wild and obnoxious and non stop energy. He loves to play in his doggy swimming pool and play tag with his roommate Bella.

Because of Doc's high energy level, he will need to go to a home with property or a very large fenced yard and an active family to keep him busy.

Doc went on his first pack walk with 6 other dogs on May 4th and was a perfect boy. He played in the water with his new best buddy BearZ and came every time he was called. What a good boy!!
