March 27, 2011 - Update

Our big goofy boy Rosco is off to his new home just up the hill from us in Pine Grove. He will be living on 10 acres so he will have plenty of room to get all the exercise a boy could need.

His new Dad works from home so Rosco will not have to worry about being left home alone. What a lucky boy he is!!

Rosco Arrives at Twin Cedar

Rosco comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. He is a 2 year old Lab mix who is just a big goofy boy.

He loves everyone he meets young to old. He is a big strong dog with a beautiful shiny black coat. Rosco was surrendered by his previous owner because they had a new baby and they felt they could not give Rosco the time and attention that he needed.

They stated rosco was around their toddler and cat and
that he was good with both. They also stated Rosco was
good with other dogs as well.

From what we have observed here at the ranch, he is very playful with other dogs when he is off lead, but when on lead he tends to get defensive.

We have worked with him on this and he has improved, but because of this we feel he would do best if he went to a home with an experienced owner.

He is coming along nicely with all of his obedience training and has mastered a proper heel, auto sit, down, stay and come. He does not appear to have any destructive behavior in his kennel.

He has had fluffy beds with him 24/7 and has not destroyed them. Please give us a call if you would like to meet Rosco.
