July 17, 2011 - Update
Well, that didn't take long! Rio is off to his new home just over the hill from the ranch. He has a new older brother and a few cats, chickens, goats, horses and a bunny.
Rio has promised not to eat the chickens or rabbit! His new mom works from home so she will be able to spend a lot of time giving Rio the training and attention he needs.
Rio will be coming back for the group classes on the weekends.

Rio Arrives at Twin Cedar
Rio is an owner sponsored dog who comes to us from Stockton. He is 1 year old and looks like a German Shepherd mix.
Rio is a great dog but his previous owners felt he needed more room to run and play that they could offer him in Stockton. Rio is a very smart boy who just loves to learn.
He has been getting along very well with all of the other
dogs here a the ranch and has been quite good with our resident kitty. Rio hasn't met a person he didn't like and
could probably fit into just about any home. |
He does like to chase squirrels and other small animals including skunks.

He has killed a few squirrels and one skunk so this boy may not be good with small farm animals such as chickens and rabbits.
