Shorty hails from the wonderful folks at the Amador Co Animal Control and adoption Center. Marge` calls him Shorty Short Cakes and she thinks he is a new designer breed for the working rancher. He is a Queensland Cardigan Shepherd. That would be a cross between a Queensland Heeler, Corgi and a German Shepherd.
Little Shorty Short Cakes is off to his new home in Kyburz. This is one lucky boy and we could not have hoped for a better home for him. He now lives in the forest and even has a river running through his property. |
Casper (aka Yujo) is a young adult male Dogo Argentino cross. When he first arrived at the Calaveras Shelter they thought he was a Pit Bull and American Bulldog cross. Casper is about 18 - 24 months old and is a terrific dog.
Casper now named Yujo (Friendship in Japanese) is off to his new home in Pine Grove. We will be seeing a lot of this great boy because he was adopted by our trainer/volunteer and her husband. |
Riley comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. He is a pure bred German Shepherd and is young adult maybe 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Job is off to his new home in Yuba County where he will have a nice large yard and home to call his own. His new dad is very active and loves to hike & camp and always have his dog with him. Job will be a very happy boy! |
Bonnie is off to her new and hopefully final home with a wonderful new owner. She will have a stay at home mom who has family including grandchildren that will come to visit often.
Bonnie fell in love with everyone in the family and didn't even look back as they drove out our driveway. Bonnie, we loved having you came back for a visit; you were the perfect girl while you were here. We will miss you!! |
Meggie is about 1 year old and looks like she is a cross between a long haired Chihuahua and a Pomeranian. I have been in search of the perfect small dog for one of my clients and I felt this pup fit the bill!
Meggie is very smart and playful and just loves everyone she meets. Her new owner is retired so little Meggie will always have a nice lap to sit on and better yet.... there will be grandchildren for her to play with as well. |

She is a young adult and is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years old and is a cute and sweet as can be! She is a beautiful little girl that has very nice conformation although someone has docked her tail. It is unknown if this was done as a puppy or if it was docked due to an injury.

Dee Dee is in our German Shepherd Rescue program. She is a beautiful 4 Year old Female German Shepherd. Her owner is moving to Alabama and he cannot take Dee Dee with him. Margè took her to see Dr Bob at Jackson Creek Vet for a consultation and received some very bad news! Dee Dee has very severe bi-lateral hip dysplasia. She was probably born with genetic hip dysplasia that has gone untreated for all of her life. View Dee Dee's page to see her heart warming story.
Because of Dee Dee's health issues and ongoing medical care, we have decided to keep her right here with us at Twin Cedar Ranch. She has fit into the pack beautifully and has become a great ranch dog. |

Brianna is off to her new home in Dublin, Ca. I didn't think we would have her here very long, but didn't expect her to find her new home in less than a week. In the short time that she was with us, she won our hearts and will be missed. |
Star comes to us from the wonderful folks at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center and what a Shining Star she is!!! Her intake papers have her down as a Shiba Inu/ Akita cross. We see the Shiba Inu but not the Akita and she is far too willing to be that cross. We are thinking she may have some Border Collie in her that would give her that very willing personality and focus.
Well...that didn't take long!! Our shining "Star" is already off to her new home right here in Sutter Creek. What a lucky girl she is too!! She will be coming back for some more obedience training for her and her new parents. |
