May 27, 2012 - Update
******************* OUR 200th ADOPTEE!!!! *******************
Casper now named Yujo (Friendship in Japanese) is off to his new home in Pine Grove.
We will be seeing a lot of this great boy because he was adopted by our trainer/volunteer and her husband. We knew Kazumi would fall in love with him and it didn't take long either!!
Duke isn't too sure he wants a little brother but they are getting along. Yujo, we will see you this evening for our evening pack walk!

Casper (aka Yujo) Arrives at Twin Cedar
Casper is a young adult male Dogo Argentino cross. When he first arrived at the Calaveras Shelter they thought he was a Pit Bull and American Bulldog cross. Casper is about 18 - 24 months old and is a terrific dog.
He has an amazing temperament for his breed. He loves everyone that he meets and gets along beautifully with all of the dogs he meets or is in the same kennel with.
Casper is good with cats although he will bark at
them if they do not want to play with him. Casper
has been going on our evening pack walks with up
to nine other dogs, male, female, altered and intact and has a blast! He has even started to play in the water canal the goes through our property.
|
Casper has never shown any type of dog aggression on these walks. Casper has started his obedience training and is coming along nicely although obedience is not his favorite thing to do in life! He would much prefer to just hang out with his people and other dogs and let his roommate Shorty do all of the obedience training. |
Even though he doesn't really enjoy it, Casper has learned how to wait at doorways and for his food, heel, sit, down, stay and come (not so much!).
Because of his perfect temperament, Casper could go into just about any lifestyle. If you are a fan of the bully breeds, this guy is for you.
