Bear Goes Home, Field Trip for the Second Chance
Guys, Bear Goes Back
Hi there!
I'm Bear and I just arrived here Wednesday, 7/6/05. I came from
the Amador County Animal Shelter were I have been since January of
2005. Everyone said I'm lucky to still be here, but all I
know is this place is great! Margaret said that I'm a big goof
ball that has to learn some manners. She said that I'm a Malamute,
Shepherd, Yellow Lab cross and I'm a neutered (whatever that is)
male. All I know is that I love everyone! I'm all happy and
jumping and everything. They say that's no problem and I learn
fast so pretty soon I'll be a well mannered boy. And that's fine
with me because learning is fun! I like the leash and having
people are with me. That's all I ever wanted.
My first
day was very busy. First I got all settled in. Did I say this
place is great? For the last seven months I was in a cage, it was
OK, but everyone was barking all the time, and some were even
barking at me! Sometimes folks came to see me. It was great, I got
all happy and was doing my best, jumping, running around, pulling
and everything I could think of, but they always left and I had to
go back to my cage. Now here, I've got my own big kennel with my
own mister to keep me cool! I love the mister and spend lots of
time under it. Also, I get to go swimming and meet other dogs. I
just love everyone! I've started some learning, now I know I
shouldn't jump up on the gate or people. Who would have thought!?
All they had to do was tell me, I'm smart and want to do what
makes you happy!
I have lots
more learning to do. They are talking about learning to walk
nicely on a loose lead, called it a heel. Hmmm... also they said I
will know what sit and down means. Well, that's OK with me just as
long as I get to be with someone. And I get to play a whole lot.
The talk around school is that if I try hard and be good someone
just might come and take me home! So you can believe I'm going to
try my best!
Well, got to go back to work, but if anyone is looking for a great
partner and somebody to play with, please consider me! Remember,
my name is Bear!
