Wishes is very concerned because she has
been in the shelter for months. Now she is with us as a Second
Chance resident at the ranch, but she is worried that no one will
want her. Wishes heard some folks say that she's ugly, but we
think she is beautiful. She is full of energy and enthusiasm and
ready for a walk, play session or whatever you are up for. And if
that happens to include some pets and cuddling, that is just fine
with her.
Wishes is very healthy about 3 years
old. spayed and current on all vaccinations including being on
heartworm preventative. She weights in at about 58 pounds, but
that will drop as she stays with is. Wishes is getting lots of
exercise and we have cut her food back a little.
She comes from the Amador Animal Shelter
where she was surrendered by her owners. Her problem was her love
for human contact, and especially kids. But she was kept away from
that outside in a kennel all the time. So, she would breakout and
run down to the local school to be with her favorite thing... the
kids and lots of play. But someone saw her there and noticed that
she has Staffordshire Terrier in her and thought that she was
going to destroy everyone in sight and then burn down the school.
She actually is a cross between an
Australian Shepherd and Am. Staff Terrier. And she is active,
loves to play got for walks or just play in the yard.

She loves the obedience training she is getting with us.
Already she knows how to heel, sit and down when asked. She is
working on recalls and having a reliable stay command. This is
not hard work for her, she loves it and could go all day. |
"Hey, ma look at me! I'm an agility dog!"

If you are considering an
addition to your home, please consider Ms Wishes. She is a
happy girl that would thrive in her own active home,
especially with some kids to pal around with. And don't let
her looks fool you, she has a good heart and she thinks she is
beautiful. And so do we!
