Rowdy is a very happy guy that has one
thing on his mind... Playing ball! He's about two to three years
old very healthy and current on everything including heartworm
preventative. He is a neutered Border Collie and like any good
working dog, he wants a job. He'll chase his ball all day and
would love to go for a hike or romp in the woods.
He's been with us in school for a little
over a week. He came from the folks at the Calaveras Humane
Society. He was returned from the San Francisco SPCA because they
said he was resource guarding or aggressive over his ball. Like
other dogs we have through our program, we did not see the problem
they reported as the reason for the return. He willing gives up
any toy. Of course, he hopes the came will continue, but never
grumbles or complains when we take the ball or toy. When he is
playing with the ball in his kennel he runs around and 'talks' to
it, which they may have through was aggression.
Obedience is not his favorite activity,
unless there is something in it for him like, guess what, a ball!
But he will happily go along with you all day just waiting for the
games to begin.
If you are considering an
addition to your home, please consider Rowdy. He is a
happy boy that would thrive in his own active home, especially
with some kids to pal around with. If you like to play and
have a ball or two, Rowdy will be your new best friend!
