Here's a happy girl, named Lilly. She
came to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. They rescued
her from the Calaveras shelter. Lilly has had a hard time in her
life. When she was picked up she was found to be in the early
stages of pregnancy. And it clearly was not her first. Our best
guess is that she has had at least three or four litters in the
past.
But those days are over for her! She is
now spayed, current on all her vaccinations and heartworm
negative. She is very healthy and loves being here in school.
Her breeding is anyone's guess... we
think maybe Husky or Elkhound and Bulldog cross. She is short but
very stout and sturdy. Her tail stands straight up and wags a
happy greeting in the morning or when she comes out for her
lessons. She loves people and dreams of the day when she gets her
own home and family.
She is learning the basic manners
and obedience to he a trusted companion and pet. Lilly
knows how to walk on a loose lead. Well, mostly... but when
you ask she holds a very nice heel position and will sometimes
do a perfect auto-sit when you stop. But you usually have to
ask her for a sit. But no matter what the exercise or lesson,
she is happy just to be out and with a person.
Her happy expression says it all. If you
are up for a walk she is too. All she needs is to hear the lead
and collar rattle and she is ready to go.
Lilly would be very happy as your loyal house dog waiting for you
to come home from work or school. The happy welcome home greetings
are her responsibility. If a walk or petting session are in order,
that is all she dreams of. She is usually tolerant of other dogs,
but she would be happiest if she we the only dog. Although she
enjoys romping with her roommate, Tucker.
Please call us at (209) 223-3194 or email
info@twincedark9.com if
you would like to come and meet Miss Lilly. She would be delighted
to go for a walk or just sit and get some pets from a new friend.
