Here is one
nice pup that truly won the dog rescue lottery today.
Here he is getting his go-home picture with his new family.
When they came to see him, he sensed something was up and was
on his very best behavior. He did everything he knew to sell
himself, and it worked! So we say goodbye to a nice and happy
dog. In his short stay with us, he worked his way into
everyone's heart. We hope we get to see him come back for a
visit sometime.
Shemp was with
us for just less than a week. He came from the Calaveras
shelter where he wound up as a stray. When his number was up,
the Calaveras Humane Society rescued him. Luckily our other
Calaveras dog, Buster, had left a couple of days before, off
to his new home. Events came together and out Shemp came for
school.
When he arrived
they were calling him Shep, because of his looks. We put him
into our largest outdoor run with the two other Second Chance
dogs and they had so much fun together that they looked like
the Three Stooges. Shemp fit his personality so that's how he
earned his moniker.
Not much else
to write about him, other to say that he is truly a nice dog.
All he wanted was to be with you. He has that happy expression
that says it all. We'll definitely miss him1
