Oct 12, 2006 - Maya Goes Home!

Today Maya got very lucky, said good bye and left for her home. She left a very different dog than when she first came. She learned that playing with other dogs was actually fun. She had a couple of roommates and her training went very well. Good luck Mays!

Sept 9, 2006 - Maya is Here!

Here comes a happy girl, her name is Maya. She is about a year old and a cross between a German Shepherd a Black Lab. She is a big goof that is ready for a walk, run or just to hang out.

She is very healthy, about 85 pounds, current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Maya needs nothing but a good home to continue into great dog and partner that she wants to be.

Maya can from the folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. She started life in a home where she was well cared for, but her owner had to move and could not take her. So she went into foster care.

A problem can up during her foster when she became dog aggressive. She loved everyone, but was not so happy about other dogs. They were not sure what the root of her issues were so she came into our Second Chance program to see what we could do.  We've had some remarkable successes with similar problem in the past, so we have high hopes for Miss Maya.

Already she is well along with her basic obedience training. She know heel, sit, down, stay and walking on a loose lead. With the sweet nature of a Lab and the willingness to work of the Shepherd, she is a pleasure to work with.

Maya should ready to go in another week or so. If you would like to meet Maya please call us at (209) 267-9186 or drop an email to info@twincedark9.com. She's ready for a walk, anytime!

See, I can be a Shepherd too! With a little help!
