Here's a happy guy on his way home! Jango had such a love for kids that we were looking for the right family for him. A call came in from a nice person that saw Jango on the web. That led to a visit... and the rest is history. Jango jumped right into their van and off he went without a look back. If was hard to say who had a bigger smile, Jango or the kids. A small piece of us goes with each one of these dogs, and Jango is no exception. Good bye and be good in you new home, Jango. We will miss you!

Mr. Jango

Our newest Second Chance dog, Jango is here! He came from the Amador shelter and is very happy to be here! The poor guy had a terrible time in the shelter. He was surrendered by his owner because he barked. Jango had no idea what happened to him and he was terrified to be in the shelter. Whenever anyone approached his cell, he would look away and urinate all over. Sometimes he would try and bark them away.  He was very unhappy and faced an uncertain future.

But Jango's lucky day came when our previous Amador dog, Puka, found her home and we had room. The shelter staff felt sorry for poor Jango and brought him out to us and the Second Chance program. Now in a more home-like environment, he is showing his true nature... a very happy and very affectionate guy! He loves everybody and can't wait for anyone to play ball with him.

Now our challenge is to teach Jango how to get the attention and affection he wants by having some basic manners. He is very athletic  and jumping up on people is not allowed. No one wants a muddy paw print and jumping can knock a small person over.

But Jango is a very willing guy and loves to learn. So, now he knows how to heel, sit and will down when asked. He finds the obedience sessions to be a lot of fun and looks forward to each session with eager anticipation.

Jango dreams of a home and family of his own where he can romp, chase balls and live as part of the family. He would not do well as a backyard dog, but will blossom and thrive if he is allowed in the house to bond and be part of the group. He loves kids and would be their faithful playmate, waiting for them to come home from school.

If you are interested in Jango please give us a call at (209) 223-3194 or drop an email to info@twincedark9.com and we'll set a time where you can come and meet this happy guy. And, if you have the time, he would love to go for a walk or even a play session!
