February 13th, 2010 - Update

Our little comedian Tilly is off to her new home in Citrus Heights.  The best part of this adoption is she now has a wonderful boy to give her all of the love, care and attention that she has been so patiently waiting for. 

Tilly and Drew will be coming back for our weekend group classes to continue her obedience training and socialization.  Be a good little girl Tilly and we will see you in a few weeks.

Tilly Arrives at Twin Cedar

Tilly comes to us from the great folks at the Calaveras Humane Society.

She is a very sweet, affectionate and very smart little girl. She is a pure bred LBD (little black dog) Actually, her looks and temperament make us think she is a American Staffordshire Terrier/Border Collie cross.

She is extremely over weight right now which gives her a funny look… a swelled up tick comes to mind!! One of her nick names here at the ranch is "Chunky Monkey"!

So needless to say, she is now on the Twin Fast Diet Plan and has already lost a few pounds.

Tilly adores all of the people she meets and has beautiful focus when she is practicing her obedience training. This little girl could probably do real well in competitive obedience trails and now that the AKC has a mixed breed class, she could actually compete. In the short time that she has been here she has mastered a very nice heel, auto sit and down. She stays in place and comes when called. The only problems we have seen so far is that Tilly is a very confident and dominant little dog when she plays with other dogs.                 She has to be the boss!! Because of this we think she should go into a home that does not have any other dogs, or that has a very tolerant male dog that does not mind a bossy female telling him what to do.
