December 11th, 2009 - Update
Mira's Christmas wish has come true. She is off to her new home and family who live in Ione.
She will have to young children to love and play with her, a nice big fenced back yard and a beautiful home to come and go as she pleases.
We could not have hope for a better home for this very special little girl. Hopefully we will be seeing her back for some group classes.

Mira Arrives at Twin Cedar
Mira arrived today from the wonderful people at the Calaveras Humane Society. She is a very sweet, affectionate and loving adult Lab/Border Collie mix.
They do not come any nicer that this little girl. There is no reason why this dog should have ended up in the shelter system. She was originally picked up as a stray with a litter of puppies and then was adopted by a family with cats.
è
They returned her to the shelter because Mira chased the cats. Hmmmm, she has Border Collie in her.... she was probably doing what any good Border Collie would do... herd the little tiny sheep around the house.
|
Needless to say, their loss is our gain! We have tested Mira with our official tester kitties Buddy and T.C. and Mira was fine with them. She gently snuffled their fur with her nose and made no effort to chase them. |
Mira is coming along well with her obedience training and she get along with her goofy roommate Reno as well as the rest of the Twin Cedar Pack. Her manners in the house are very good and she is house broken. She is a little fearful when she first gets into a vehicle but settles in and rides nicely in the car.
Mira would love to have a family to call her own and a nice big yard to keep her safe and sound. Update:
