October 9th, 2010 - Update
Our pretty American Bulldog Chewy aka Bella is off to her new home in Copperopolis in Calaveras County.
What a lucky little girl she is too, she will have 5 (wow) kids to keep her busy and give her all of the attention a dog could ask for. She will have a large fenced yard and two stay and work from the home parents as well.
She will also have 2 kittens to play with…. Or chase! Good luck Bella and we hear you will be coming back for our group classes on the weekends. Kazuni is going to miss you the most.

Chewy Arrives at Twin Cedar
Chewy is a ten month old female American Bulldog that comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. She was extremely dominant with other dogs and the CHS folks were not sure if she could be adopted due to this behavior.
After giving her our temperament test we decided to pull her into our program. It did not take Chewy to long to figure out that other dogs were fun to play with and she did not have to dominate every dog she met.
Since she has been here, she has learned how to play appropriately and gets along well with most dogs. She probably would not do well with another dominant female dog. We have tested her with our resident cat tester T.C. and Chewy passed with flying colors. |
She was her typical pushy self trying to slobber all over the cat when Miss T.C. slapped her in the face, causing Chewy to run and hid behind the first person she came to. Big brave Bulldog!! Chewy is doing great with her obedience lessons and has already learned all of the basic commands such as heel, auto sit, down, stay and come.

She is working in the group classes and does well with all of the distractions of the group class environment.
Kazumi, our American Bulldog expert here at the ranch has fallen in love with this great pup and says if you a fan of the "Bully " breeds, this girl is for you. She is a perfect example of what an American Bulldog is supposed to be.
She is bold and confident, happy and social. We have not noticed any aggressive behavior in her. She will make a great companion dog and could fit into just about any situation.
If that is you...please give us a call or send an e-mail to set up an appointment to meet her. |
