Char and Bentley

My name is Charlene Thurman and I have been associated with Twin Cedar K9 for 10 years and training for the past 5 years on a regular basis.

We own a Chocolate Lab named Bentley. He is 3 years old and a very loving and calm pet. He shares our home with his older half sister Abbey and our older Golden Retriever, Chelsea.

I started training Bentley at Twin Cedar K-9 2 1/2 years ago. He has his Good Citizen Canine Certificate and was recently certified for therapy work by Therapy Dogs International. This made it possible for us to work with T.C.T.D (Twin Cedar Therapy Dogs).

Our group continues to meet on weekends so we will keep our human skills in great form and to teach the dogs any new behaviors that may be required for therapy situations.

We all enjoy our visits to the Residential Facilities and the client reaction to our visits is very heartwarming. It makes us realize that the time we have been training for this opportunity has been well worth while.

As a member of this Therapy Team, we are all looking forward to many more visits with our new friends, putting smiles on faces and making people feel good.
