Update: May 1st, 2009

This is one happy day at Twin Cedar Ranch. Our longest resident Porsche, has finally found her forever home. She is the sweetest dog we have ever had out here; it just amazed us that it took this long for her to find a home.

She will be a very much loved member of a family in West Point. She has a fenced yard and a wonderful family to love and care for her.

The best part is…. She will be coming back for our group classes on the weekends so we will still be able to see our very special girl. She has definitely worked her way into everyone's hearts out here at the ranch.

Update: January 10th, 2009

Miss Porsche has gained confidence and improved her social skills in the past seven weeks.  She is now kenneled with multiple dogs and even goes on the evening "Pack" walks every day with seven other dogs.  Her on lead obedience is coming along nicely and she has beautiful off lead recalls.  Porsche is a very sweet and loving dog that needs a forever home.  If you have room in your heart and home for this great dog, please give us a call to come out and meet our Porsche.

Porsche Arrives at Twin Cedar

Porsche came to Twin Cedar Ranch from the folks at Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. The shelter staff had her listed as a Pitbull/Kelpie cross. The staff at twin Cedar K-9 think she may be a Dutch Shepherd cross. With time and training it may be a little easier to more accurately "guess" her breeding.

Porsche is about 4 years old, current on all of her vaccines and heartworm prevention. She has not been spayed yet but will be prior to her adoption.

Although Porsche seems to be a bit of a wild child, she is a very sweet and friendly little girl. She will play ball all day long if you let her. She has only been here about 8 hours and already has a good understanding of heel, auto sit and staying in a sit.

Porsche is good with other dog's when she is on lead but off lead she is extremely dominant and pushy. So for now, she will be kenneled by herself and with time, hopefully we can give her a roommate to run and play with.

If you have room in your hear and home for Miss Porsche,
give us a call to come out to meet her. She truly is a great
little dog. As with all of our Second Chance dog's, she will
have almost all of her basic obedience training by the time
she is ready for placement.
